Mayr-Melnhof completes modernization of board machine at its Kolicevo mill

Mayr-Melnhof completed the conversion of the wet end of the board machine 2 (BM2) into a state-of-the-art 3-layer Fourdrinier machine.

Additional investments were related to the renewal of vacuum systems and multiple drive units that enable a higher speed and thus improve the productivity of BM2 and work even more energy efficient.

Through the proactive production in advance of standard grades in high demand, it was possible to guarantee the highest security of supply during the conversion phase. Thanks to the excellent planning full production started again only after two weeks of rebuilt downtime.
