Lecta reaffirms its commitment to decarbonization
With SBTi validation of its emissions reduction targets for 2030.

Lecta continues to strengthen its sustainability strategy by promoting investments and projects aimed at accelerating the transition towards decarbonization and contributing to the mitigation of global warming.
This commitment was further reinforced at the end of 2024, when the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated the company’s absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets after a rigorous verification and approval process. The SBTi is an international climate action organization that assists companies in defining science-based emissions reduction objectives, ensuring alignment with the requirements to limit global warming to 1.5 ºC.
Following this validation, Lecta updated its absolute GHG reduction targets for 2030: a 53% reduction for Scopes 1 and 2, and a 25% reduction for Scope 3, compared with the baseline year 2021.
This strategy reflects the company’s determination to move towards a resilient, low-emissions economy based on scientific evidence. By leveraging its calculated carbon footprint, Lecta has designed an investment plan aimed at achieving these ambitious decarbonization and energy efficiency targets, while contributing to the creation of a more sustainable future.
