Stora Enso appoints Niclas Rosenlew as Deputy CEO

Stora Enso has appointed Niclas Rosenlew, currently Chief Financial Officer, as Deputy CEO with immediate effect. He will continue in his existing responsibilities as CFO and as a member of the Group Leadership Team. In the additional role, Rosenlew will serve as deputy to President and CEO Hans Sohlström. Sohlström will remain President and CEO of Stora Enso.
Hans Sohlström said: “Niclas Rosenlew contributes to Stora Enso’s performance through strong leadership, business acumen and a consistent focus on delivering results. As a global company, we engage with a broad range of stakeholders every day.”
He added that the appointment reflected the close partnership between the two executives and would further strengthen engagement with customers, partners, investors and other stakeholders while maintaining focus on the execution of the company’s strategy.
Niclas Rosenlew said: “I am honoured by the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing to work closely with Hans, our leadership team and colleagues across Stora Enso. Together, we will continue to drive the company’s strategy and create value for our customers and shareholders.”
Rosenlew joined Stora Enso as CFO and a member of the Group Leadership Team in January 2025. The company is a global producer of renewable materials with a strong focus on packaging, using fresh and recycled fibres to develop packaging materials and solutions. Stora Enso employs approximately 19,000 people and reported sales of EUR 9.3 billion in 2025.
