Valmet strengthens customer value by delivering a high-end sack and kraft paper machine for Guangxi Jianhui Paper in China
Valmet will supply a sack and kraft paper machine, complete with automation systems and services, to Guangxi Jianhui Paper in China. This strategic investment is designed to enhance the company’s operational performance while supporting the development of circular packaging solutions. The start-up of the new paper machine, PM 8n, is scheduled for the end of 2026.

While the value of the order remains confidential, a delivery of this type is typically worth between EUR 35 million and EUR 50 million.
Technical highlights of the delivery
Valmet’s scope for PM 8 will include the complete paper machine line, from headbox to reel with broke collection. The wet end will feature an OptiFlo Fourdrinier headbox, OptiFormer Fourdrinier forming section and OptiPress Center press section. These will be followed by an OptiRun Hybrid dryer section, an Intelli-Microcrepe extensible unit, an OptiSizer Film sizer, an OptiCalender Hard calender, and an OptiReel Pope reel.
To maximize lifecycle performance, the delivery will also cover Valmet DNA Machine Controls (MCS), the Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS), profiling technology, a spare parts package, and Valmet Industrial Internet connectivity solutions.
The paper machine will have a wire width of 7,450 mm and will produce kraft and sack paper grades with a basis weight range of 50–110 g/m² at a design speed of 1,300 m/min.
