Tecno Paper and the two paper mills selected SAEL for the liquid cooling drives and automation
Again Water Cooling Drives SAEL for "save energy" in paper mills.

After receiving orders for two new Winders turnkey project, Tecno Paper and the paper mills selected SAEL as the sub-supplier for the liquid cooling drives and automation, including the DCS-Winder SAEL for control and command.
SAEL was chosen by mutual agreement, thanks to its extensive expertise in drives and automation for winders, proven by numerous successful projects with some of the largest and most prestigious paper groups.
The two Papermills specifically selected SAEL’s “PLATFORM ONE” drive, a system designed exclusively for paper mills. Familiar with SAEL’s technology, the paper mills also requested the use of liquid-cooled inverters, the only drive system currently available that offers significant energy savings.
The decision was based on the flexibility and scalability of the drive system and the DCS Scalink platform, which is always integrated into each applications and is compatible with future upgrades for the papermills. The high performance is due to the advanced drive control system, where the processor is equipped with all the specialized functions required by the paper industry.

These functions ensure high regulation dynamics during machine transients (such as accelerations and decelerations), where maintaining stable web tension accuracy is crucial. The inclusion of the “mechanical shaft” regulation in the drive systems completes the package, ensuring perfection in winder technology.
Tecno Paper continues in the choice that has rewarded it for years, linked to the very high performance required for the drives and automation of its rewinders. The Water Cooling solution allows the electrical panel to be installed close to the machine without concerns about the environment in which it is placed. The panel, practically hermetic, is free from issues of temperature, air acidity, and dust, which previously required maintenance in air-conditioned environments. Significant energy savings are ensured by eliminating air conditioners and all fans on the panel and inverters.
SAEL’s “PLATFORM ONE” is a drive designed with an advanced and modular architecture, making it non-obsolescent. This means it was conceived to be highly scalable and upgradeable, ensuring its relevance and operation over time. Thanks to its flexibility, the system can be adapted and enhanced with the latest technologies, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the paper industry in the future without the need for complete replacement.
The new DCS WINDER from SAEL, featuring two 22-inch screens installed on the control desk, will enable the papermill to manage the entire machine efficiently, offering operators a new perspective and dynamic approach to controlling the winder process. This setup will allow for complete control over production, ensuring a smooth and optimized operation.
