MIAC Tissue Conference 2021 – FEDERICO BARSANTI / SCHÄFERROLLS

The full speech by Federico Barsanti of SchäferRolls during the MIAC Tissue Conference, which took place at MIAC 2021 exhibition held every year in October in Lucca (Italy). MIAC is the international paper industry event that sees the participation of 250 international exhibitors of the paper industry sector.

SchäferRolls will present three solutions for the demanding converting process that significantly contribute to the end product’s quality: First: SchäferRolls will introduce an innovative embossing roll cover into the market, which increases the performance in the most demanding conditions. The new cover is a mix of special proprietary materials which are able to reduce the heat generation for hysteresis by 10 to 15 °C compared to the best materials that are in operation already today. This new solution improves physical and mechanical material properties by far and in combination with an innovative new bonding technology it will perform reliably in the long run. SchäferRolls will present the achieved operation results together with Lucart S.p.A. from Diecimo, Italy. Second: Q.dura, results and customer benefits of this development for converting systems prone to glue deposit build-ups on the marrying roll, will be presented. Third: Insitu, a totally new, innovative development for Cliché roll positions.
