Hamburger Containerboard purchases a new PM for its paper mill in Turkey
Hamburger Turkey Ltd., part of Hamburger Containerboard, has purchased a new paper machine from Valmet for its paper mill project in Kütahya, Turkey.
The Valmet machine will have a width of 7,80m and an annual production capacity of 480,000 tonnes containerboard. It will produce mainly light-weight testliner and fluting.
“We are happy that one of our next Containerboard projects is on a good path. It is an important step to achieve our goal of doubling the Group in size by 2030,” said Cord Prinzhorn, CEO of Prinzhorn Group.
The Hamburger Containerboard Division operates seven paper mills in four countries with 2 million tonnes of produced container board per year. The two existing paper mills in Turkey are based in Corlu and Denizli and operate under the Hamburger Turkey brand.
