Buckman Asia Receives Singapore Sustainability Award MEMPHIS, TN, USA, Nov. 12, 2015

Buckman announced this month that Buckman Asia was recognized for its commitment to sustainable business practices at the Singapore Sustainability Awards (SSA). Buckman was one of 10 organizations to receive the annual award from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and received its award in the Sustainable Business Awards category.

According to The Business Times Singapore, the applicants were evaluated by an independent panel of judges made up of Autodesk Asia, the Economic Development Board, Global Compact Network Singapore, International Enterprise Singapore, Nanyang Business School (Nanyang Technological University), National Environment Agency, SIMTech and SPRING Singapore. The process also was audited by KPMG and Frost & Sullivan.

“We are very honored to be recognized by the Singapore Sustainability Awards. Sustainability is something Buckman takes very seriously, and we are constantly searching for ways to improve in this area,” said Buckman Asia’s managing director, Leigh Mann. “We are seeing success because we are always focused on our goal to achieve zero accidents and zero negative environmental impact.”

Buckman’s priority is understanding what is most meaningful to customers in terms of sustainability and corporate responsibility. Solutions are then crafted to suit, applying advanced technologies that will boost customer profitability while reducing environmental impact and ensuring the highest level of safety. And Buckman continues to pursue customers in emerging economies that can benefit most dramatically from Buckman’s greener technologies.
