Total U.S. paperboard production in January up slightly

The American Forest & Paper Association released its January 2016 U.S. Paperboard Report which said total boxboard production increased 0.5 percent when compared to January 2015 and increased 2.6 percent from last month.

Unbleached Kraft Boxboard production increased over the same month as last year but decreased compared to last month. Total Solid Bleached Boxboard & Liner production decreased when compared to January 2015 but increased compared to last month. The production of Recycled Boxboard increased compared to January 2015 and increased when compared to last month.
