Sofidel Suppliers Sustainability Award announced in Lucca
At the premises of the ex Cavallerizza in Lucca, the names of the winning companies were announced in the first edition of the Suppliers Sustainability Award from Sofidel, world leading hygienic and household tissue manufacturer known in Italy for the Regina brand in particular.
More than 300 suppliers to the Group – from Italy and abroad – took part in the initiative and were assessed according to a tool, TenP, built around the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. This tool follows the most relevant and up-to-date standards and conventions on sustainability, and takes the areas of human rights, labour conditions, environmental protection and the fight against corruption into account, with the aim of identifying common challenges and solutions for improving the sustainability within the supply chain.
