Slovenian state to sell hygiene paper producer to Abris

The state-run Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH) says it supports a €15m capital increase in local hygiene paper maker Paloma by Polish investment fund Abris Capital. The SSH holds a stake of about 71% in Paloma.
“The capital increase in Paloma is urgently necessary for ensuring the company’s existence and its development into a modern and internationally competitive company. The capital increase will provide for the modernisation of Paloma’s production facilities, the increase of production capacities and expansion of production at the existing site,” the SSH said in a statement.
The Slovenian company makes about 68,000 tonnes of hygiene paper per year, and its product range includes toilet paper, napkins, paper towels and handkerchiefs.
