Papeteries Palm has successfully started up its brand new power plant

The new combined heat and power plant operates a 12 MW gas turbine which generates the electricity requirements for the mill and within the same process enough steam for the drying cylinders of both paper machines PM 8 and PM 9.

With an efficiency of over 90 % the system is considered to be extremely environmentally friendly. The power pant is linked to the regional electricity infrastructure and compensates for seasonal variations in electricity demand.
