BTG appoints Emmanuel Rapendy as President and CEO

BTG, part of the Voith Group and a provider of process measurement and optimisation solutions for the pulp and paper industry, appointed Emmanuel Rapendy as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2026.
Rapendy brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience in the specialty chemicals and process industries. He joins BTG from Sulzer, where he served as Global Head of the Polymer & Crystallization Business Unit within the Chemtech Division. After joining Sulzer in 2013, he took on a succession of leadership positions with increasing scope and responsibility.
Before Sulzer, Rapendy held senior commercial and business development positions at SpecialChem in France and technical roles at Sartomer and Eastman Kodak in the United States.
Dr. Juergen Abraham, President Division Products & Service, Group Division Paper at Voith, highlighted Rapendy’s record of driving growth, leading international organisations and delivering customer-focused solutions. He said Rapendy’s strategic approach, collaborative leadership and commitment to innovation would support BTG’s next phase and strengthen its position as “a trusted partner to the pulp and paper industry.”
BTG also thanked Rainer Rauch for his work as Interim CEO during the transition. Under his leadership, the company maintained its strategic and operational momentum and delivered a strong financial year despite challenging market conditions.
