Fedrigoni appoints Rolf Stangl as executive chairman

Fedrigoni has announced that Marco Nespolo will step down as chief executive officer and chairman on 6 October 2026 to pursue other opportunities. He will retain his equity interest in the group and continue to serve on its board, supporting shareholders and management.
The board has appointed Rolf Stangl executive chairman with effect from the same date. The company said he would work with the group CFO and the chief executives of its operating companies to support profitable growth. The announcement does not name a direct successor to Nespolo as group CEO.
During almost eight years as CEO, Marco Nespolo oversaw the group’s international growth through organic expansion and acquisitions. The board thanked him for his contribution to the transformation of the business.
Stangl has more than two decades of experience in the global packaging industry. He was CEO of SIG Group from 2008 to 2020, including through its public listing. More recently, he served as a senior adviser to Apollo Global Management and held non-executive board roles at Reynolds Consumer Products and The Family Office Co.
