AF&PA backs presidential directive in support of manufacturing growth

“We welcome this Presidential memorandum as a valuable step in addressing the anti-competitive and burdensome permitting processes that thwart innovation and even environmentally-beneficial projects at our facilities. Our top advocacy priority is ensuring regulations do more good than harm,” said Harman. “We will be working with the Administration and Congress to achieve that goal so our companies can grow and create jobs. With 900,000 employees in family-wage jobs in large and small communities across 45 states, the forest products industry is the face of U.S. manufacturing. Our future grows even brighter when forward-thinking public policy unleashes our ability to invest, innovate and compete on a greater scale.”
