Valmet to supply automation to a new waste-to-energy plant in Worcestershire, UK

Valmet will supply automation to the new EnviRecover waste-to-energy plant in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, UK. The delivery will take place in November 2015, and the system will be handed over to the customer in November 2016.

The order is included in Valmet’s second quarter 2015 orders received. The value of the order will not be disclosed. Typically the order value of automation system deliveries ranges from below EUR one million to EUR three million.

Hitachi Zosen Inova AG (HZI) is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor of the EnviRecover Hartlebury plant. This is the ninth time that HZI has chosen Valmet’s automation technology for its waste-to-energy plant projects. Earlier deliveries have been made to waste-to-energy plants in Zistersdorf, Austria; Bergen, Norway; Riverside, Newhaven, STV 4&5, Ferrybridge and Greatmoor, UK; and Vaasa, Finland.

Good earlier experience and proven technology count

“With Valmet’s advanced automation solutions, the plant will be able to reach high process availability and extract maximum energy value from the thermal treatment of waste. HZI has repeatedly chosen us as the automation system supplier because of our good project execution know-how and proven technology,” says Rene Neubert, Sales Director, Automation business line, Valmet.

Valmet’s delivery includes a Valmet DNA automation system, an information management system and a safety system. In addition engineering, installation and commissioning are included in the delivery.
