The Canmol: Wales Marketing Awards, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Wales, were held on 6th November 2015 at Cardiff City Stadium celebrating excellence in Marketing along Wales and UK.
According to the judges: “This was a well planned and executed campaign that ran for 3 months in 2014. It had very specific measurable aims and objectives, particularly around data capture. ‘One step away from zero waste’ was focused in educating the target audience, and the team on this campaign did this by engaging with that audience across a really diverse mix of channels, including email, social, paid advertising, online blogs… Content generation was massively important to this campaign and the result has been a 40% increase in sales leads for that business.”
The campaign pushed out indeed targeted and valuable contents through a wide range of channels such as Twitter, 2 Degrees Network, Google paid advertising, launching a series of assets including the ‘One step away from Zero Waste’ whitepaper, a webinar, blogs and 4 videos.
In addition to DS Smith‘s award win, our very own European Marketing Manager Sophia Al Janabi won New Marketer of the Year. As the judges pointed out “Sophia is a talented, hardworking individual whose eye for detail, and passion for marketing demonstrated why she deserved to win the award.”
