PCMC invests: people and new production site

PCMC Italia, world-renowned manufacturer of tissue converting machines belonging to the Barry-Wehmiller Group with a turnover close to 50 million euro, is investing in the expansion of a Lean Thinking production site and in people.

This major restructuring will allow the production of 36 converting lines per year, resulting in a step forward in terms of logistics and the reduction of inefficiencies: 4 complete lines can simultaneously undergo checkouts and be readied for shipment. Additionally, with the increase in surface area, PCMC personnel will all be under one roof, in a facility built pursuant to the latest innovations in terms of comfort and safety, merging group culture with care and attention for people.

With the increase in sales volume, the company has also invested in qualified staff and bolstered several areas, customer service in particular, firmly believing in the importance of a fast, professional and continuative offer.

For this compartment, PCMC has created a more flexible, leaner structure that promptly provides answers to its interlocutors.

About new people

A team of specialists, technicians and engineers provide timely solutions to everyday issues of those working in converting, also through a remote connection system. The PCMC technician identifies the problem and addresses the customer to its resolution. Thanks to a revolutionary connection system, customer service is guaranteed even if the PCMC technician is offsite. In any event, teams of qualified technical staff are always on-hand to intervene onsite when necessary. Through team training, focused courses are organized with packages designed for the needs of the individual customer and capable of supplying tailored solutions. And the After-Sales department, dedicated to the sale of spare parts and upgrades, works to keep customers updated on the improvements brought to the machines and promptly answers their requests. Through this expansion, the company confirms the importance of its presence and support to those customers who have honored it with their trust.
