International Paper acquires corrugated converting facility in Delaware

International Paper announced the acquisition of Delmarva Corrugated Packaging’s converting facility located in Dover, Delaware, further strengthening the company’s packaging operations along the U.S. East Coast. The acquisition will expand International Paper’s regional manufacturing footprint and increase production capacity for sustainable corrugated packaging solutions. The Dover facility is expected to support International Paper’s long-term growth strategy by enhancing service capabilities and operational flexibility in a growing regional market.

Strategic fit for corrugated packaging business

International Paper stated that the acquisition aligns with its strategy focused on expanding value creation for customers, shareholders and employees through growth in corrugated packaging and sustainable supply chain solutions. The company highlighted that the transaction will strengthen its capabilities in the production of corrugated packaging serving multiple industrial sectors.
