GOEBEL IMS achieves highest turnover in the company’s history in 2015

GOEBEL IMS, one of the worldwide leading suppliers of innovative slitter rewinders and winding machines for a vast majority of industries, looks back on a successful year. In March 2015, the German company GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH and IMS, a former brand of the Italy-based IMS Deltamatic Group, merged their business activities in order to become GOEBEL IMS. This merger resulted in numerous synergies such as the strengthening of international sales channels, reinforced customer services and an enlarged product portfolio for its customers worldwide. Both companies have now successfully grown together with the result that GOEBEL IMS realized the highest turnover in the company’s history. This record turnover was achieved by receiving several orders from the alufoil, film, tobacco, aseptic packaging as well as pulp and paper industries. Especially in Asia, GOEBEL IMS saw an increasing demand for its customized slitting and winding solutions for the converting of paper and board. Part of the paper group APP, Gold Huasheng Paper Mill from China, for example, was supplied with two slitter rewinders RA 2 for the converting of technical delicate papers. For customers from the alufoil industry, among them one of the global tier-one manufacturers of flexible packaging and labels, GOEBEL IMS delivered four embossing machines K 100 to China and Greece. Furthermore, GOEBEL IMS celebrated two special occasions in 2015. The 100th Monoslit, the state-of-the-art slitter rewinder for the converting of a wide range of films such as BOPP, BOPP, BOPET, OPET, was sold and put into operation at PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk in Indonesia. GOEBEL IMS also received the biggest single order in the company’s history worth almost ten million euro. Longtime partner and customer Zhejiang HuaFeng Paper Technology ordered nine machines, seven OPTIMA Z and two models of the U 16s series, for their cigarette paper production in China.

“Achievements like these prove that we are not only providing good products and services to our customers at GOEBEL IMS. Our promise is to turn each customer’s needs into high-tech, high-performing slitting and winding solutions.”, says Daniele Vaglietti, CEO of the IMS Deltamatic Group.

“To reflect this customer value, we have developed our new brand claim CONVERTING IDEAS which we will launch shortly”, further explains Kerstin Stumpf-Trautmann, Group Marketing Manager.” It illustrates our brand promise: To understand our customers and turn good ideas into performance through innovative technologies and a wide portfolio of machines and a full set of solutions.”

GOEBEL IMS supplies a large spectrum of machines for the conversion of paper and board, film, alufoil, aseptic packaging materials as well as cigarette papers and other special materials. With headquarters and partners in Italy, Germany, the United States and China, GOEBEL IMS will continue to create long-lasting and sustainable value for its customers worldwide in 2016.
