Bruks AB supplies chipping line and fuel handling system to BWSC A/S
Bruks Group has been awarded a contract to Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S (BWSC A/S), Denmark, for the supply of a wood chip handling system for the Cramlington Estover renewable energy plant in England.
The Cramlington plant is a biomass plant, located in the north east UK, close to the border to Scotland. The purpose of the plantis to produce electricity on the basis of biomass fuel in the form of logs, imported wood chips and waste wood.
About the scope of supply
The scope of supply is engineering, supplying and installation of a complete chipping line including log handling and a complete fuel handling system with screening and metal separation including non-ferrous separation from fuel storage up to the day silos for the boiler. Capacity to the boiler will be 180 cubic metres of wood chips per hour.
The fuel handling will be managed and coordinated by Bruks AB, Sweden who supplies the wood handling system and Bruks Klöckner GmbH, Germany will supply the complete chipping line.
Total contract value is Euro 4.5 million. Delivery of the equipment will start in October 2016 and start-up and commissioning is expected to be late 2017.
