Bellmer acquires Cellwood Machinery AB

Bellmer GmbH has announced the acquisition of Cellwood Machinery AB, a Swedish-based company recognized worldwide for its advanced systems in wastepaper recycling and bioenergy pre-treatment.

Over the decades, Cellwood has played a pivotal role in shaping the modern pulp and paper industry. The company is the global leader in dispersing systems, essential in transforming paper waste into new, high-quality paper. To date, more than 700 installations have been delivered to paper mills worldwide. Each project is tailored to the customer’s process, with partnerships characterized by close cooperation throughout testing, installation, commissioning, and ongoing service, including maintenance and spare parts supply.

The company’s portfolio also comprises well-established brands such as Metrans, offering conveying and handling solutions, the Grubbens Pulper, and the Algas Microfilter. These technologies are recognized for energy efficiency, improved paper quality, and sustainable resource management. Thanks to its clear specialization, Cellwood invests intensively in research and development. At its Swedish headquarters, a fully equipped, state-of-the-art pilot plant is available for customer trials and training.

“This acquisition aligns seamlessly with our vision to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for the paper industry,” stated Martin Kollmar, President of Bellmer GmbH. “We are delighted to integrate Cellwood’s expertise and dedication into our group.”

With subsidiaries in Germany, Canada, and China, as well as sales and service teams in Vietnam and India, Cellwood Machinery AB will further strengthen Bellmer’s global presence and service reach.

The acquisition agreement was finalized in mid-September 2025 after a structured and transparent process, with closing expected by the end of October 2025. The choice of Bellmer as the new owner reflects the strong alignment between both family-owned companies and their shared long-term strategies.

“We are proud to join the Bellmer Group,” commented Henrik Lefvert, Managing Director of Cellwood Machinery AB. “Bellmer’s values and long-term perspective are fully in line with ours, and we are confident this partnership will create new opportunities for our customers and employees around the world.”
