Valmet to deliver an IntelliTissue 1600 machine to PT Suparma Tbk in Indonesia
Valmet will supply an IntelliTissue 1600 tissue machine to PT Suparma Tbk’s mill in Surabaya, Indonesia. The new line will support the production of premium-quality tissue products for the Asia-Pacific market, with start-up scheduled for 2026. Valmet and PT Suparma Tbk share a longstanding partnership covering several tissue projects. The most recent delivery was an IntelliTissue machine (TM10), installed at the same site and successfully started up in 2022.

Technical details of the delivery
The scope of supply includes a complete tissue production line with stock preparation equipment. The new line will be centered around an IntelliTissue 1600 machine, featuring an IntelliJet V headbox, Crescent Former, IntelliPress, IntelliYankee dryer, Exhaust Cap hood, and an IntelliReel section.
In addition, the delivery will comprise mechanical and electrical drives, the Valmet DNA system with Machine Control System, Distributed Control System and Quality Control System, a dust removal system, and other auxiliary systems for the tissue line. Once operational, the line will add 26,500 tons of tissue paper per year to PT Suparma Tbk’s current production capacity.
