The transaction includes the companies Gaster Wellpappe, Wellpappe Sausenheim and PTI, along with their production facilities located in Southwestern Germany. The operations employ approximately 350 people and generated a turnover of around €74 million in 2025.

The acquisition represents a further step in Dunapack Packaging’s growth strategy, aimed at expanding its geographical footprint and strengthening vertical integration within the Prinzhorn Group.

“The transaction marks a further important step in the growth strategy of Dunapack Packaging aiming to increase its geographical footprint and will additionally foster our paper integration rate within the Group,” said Gerald Prinzhorn, CEO of Prinzhorn Group.

Max Hölbl, Chairman of Dunapack Packaging, added: “We are excited to serve our existing and new customers with the best of our proven service quality by benefitting from our integrated business model with Hamburger Containerboard Division. The expertise of our new colleagues will be a great addition and we are looking forward to welcoming them in our Group.”

The transaction remains subject to customary merger control approvals and is expected to be completed in 2026.
