New containerboard machine: Mondi may receive investement subsidy in Slovakia

For the construction of a new 300,000 tpy containerboard machine. 

Mondi plans to build a new 300,000 tpy containerboard machine and upgrade pulp production at its site in Ružomberok, Slovakia, at a total cost of €310m.

According to Euwid, Slovakian government is prepared to grant paper manufacturer Mondi SCP in Ružomberok, a subsidiary of the Mondi Group, an investment subsidy for the company’s investment project.

The paper mill may get as much as €48.8m in susidy. The decision is subject to approval by the Slovakian anti-monopoly agency as well as the European Commission.
