Versowood acquires Metsä Wood’s Hartola glulam factory

The transfer will be effective as of end November. The personnel at the Glulam factory will become Versowood employees.

The acquisition increases Versowood‘s Glulam production from 65.000 m³ to over 80.000 m³ on an annual basis and the turnover will be almost 40 Million euros per year with 110 employees in total. Versowood has already Glulam factories in Heinola and Vierumäki.

This is an important milestone for Versowood. With the acquisition Versowood achieves major synergies with raw materials, sales and production. Three Glulam factories close to one another under one owner and management will also lead to savings with logistics, which is very important in today’s competitive environment.
