Cartiera Saci, Verona (Italy).

Kadant Lamort started-up a Heli-Drum pulping system at Cartiere Saci, a leading European producer of 100% recycled shopping bags. The Heli-Drum system handles a broad range of recycled fibers and efficiently processes kraft paper, carrier board, and aseptic packages, among other furnishes.

As part of the Foundations™ product line, the Heli-Drum is a key element in the mill’s efforts to increase productivity and to provide a consistent premium product for its customers. Properly processed raw materials are the primary guarantee of sustainably uniform, high quality finished products. The advanced technology used in the Foundations fiber processing product portfolio enables Cartiera Saci capability to proactively adapt to market needs while producing high quality paper and offering a greater selection of products.

“Our investment in Kadant’s Foundations fiber processing technology allows us to treat a wider variety of recycled furnish, as well as enable a more sustainable process overall,” commented Lorenzo Poli, Cartiere Saci CEO and president of Assocarta. “We are pleased with our long partnership with Kadant Lamort and their knowledgeable support of these critical drivers towards the future development of our mills.”

Marcello Giorgi, global sales and marketing director at Kadant Lamort, continued, “More than just an innovative set of products and technologies, the Foundations fiber processing product line is rooted in our deep industry expertise, forward-thinking consultative value, and passion of our people.”
