Billerud ranked top employer among engineering and IT Students

In the annual Karriärföretagen – a leading Swedish career polling company – survey among students regarding the most attractive future employers, Billerud takes first place among master engineering students and second place among bachelor engineering students. Among IT students, Billerud ranks within the top ten most attractive employers. Karriärföretagen’s motivation for naming Billerud as a “Career Company 2024” highlights its commitment to a sustainable future and a positive work environment.

“This result is a fantastic confirmation of our long-term efforts to create an inspiring and learning work environment. Especially in Europe, where there is a shortage of engineers, it is particularly gratifying to see that tomorrow’s engineers see a future with us. We are incredibly proud and see this as a testament that today’s students appreciate our dedication for innovation, sustainability, and employee development,” says Kajsa Mühlenfels, Vice President HR Europe at Billerud.

The Karriärföretagen survey included over 5,200 students from 27 universities and colleges across Sweden who are currently pursuing an academic education, including master and bachelor engineering students, economics students, and IT students.

“Billerud is an incredibly attractive employer for its employees thanks to the company’s strong commitment to quality and sustainability. With its focus on delivering first-class packaging solutions and promoting a more sustainable world, Billerud offers a work environment where employees are not only proud of their work but also thrive and develop in a positive atmosphere. Here, there is an opportunity to be part of an organization that fosters a sustainable future while allowing you to grow and flourish in the workplace,” states the Karriärföretagen’s motivation.
