Altri orders key white liquor plant and fiberline equipment from ANDRITZ
ANDRITZ received an order to deliver advanced white liquor plant technologies and to modernize the fiberline at Altri’s Biotek pulp mill in Vila Velha de Ródão, Portugal. With this project, Altri aims to enhance the mill’s operational efficiency and strengthen its overall self-sufficiency.
The scope of supply, contracted on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) basis, comprises:
- A new lime kiln with a capacity of 250 t/d of burned lime, prepared for a potential future capacity increase
- A new lime mud filter complete with auxiliary systems
- An upgrade of the green liquor clarifier
- Process modifications for the fiberline, including engineering and equipment
Start-up of the new installations at the Biotek mill is planned for the third quarter of 2026. This order further reinforces the strong cooperation between Altri and ANDRITZ.
