TRG acquires Columbia Container to expand Mid-Atlantic packaging operations
TRG Packaging and Display Solutions announced the acquisition of Columbia Container, a corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Baltimore, Maryland. The transaction strengthens TRG’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States and expands the company’s capabilities in corrugated packaging and display solutions.
Columbia Container provides a wide range of corrugated products, including traditional corrugated boxes and litho-mounted point-of-purchase displays, serving national, regional and local customers. According to TRG, the acquisition will enhance operational flexibility, production alignment and responsiveness across the region.
“This acquisition strengthens our network in the Mid-Atlantic market and adds a team with a proven ability to execute,” said Kevin Miller, CEO of TRG Packaging and Display Solutions. “It allows us to better align capacity, enhance responsiveness, and further extend our capabilities across the region.”
TRG stated that the integration of Columbia Container into its network will support faster service and broader packaging solutions for customers throughout the market.
Continuity of management and customer relationships
The current leadership team at Columbia Container will remain in place following the acquisition. The companies stated that maintaining continuity will help preserve existing customer relationships and ensure a smooth operational transition.
