The Papeteries des Vosges et du Leman group (PVL) announces capacity expansion
To meet the increasing demand for parchment paper in baking applications, Papeteries des Vosges et du Leman group comprised of PDV, PDL and PVL Holdings, a global leader in baking paper production, has unveiled plans to double the capacity of Primabake to approximately 65,000 metric tons per year by the end of 2027.
This capacity expansion will be achieved by increasing the production capacity of Primabake on the PM62 machine in Publier (Evian, French Alps), and through enhanced collaboration with Papeterie des Vosges (PDV). PDV, located in Laval-sur-Vologne (Vosges Mountain, France), specializes in light specialty papers and is the sister company of PDL. Both paper companies are part of PVL Holdings.
Grégoire Chavanne, general director of PDV, added: “having achieved this significant milestone, we will invest in various assets on the PM8 in Laval-sur-Vologne to ensure smooth production of Primabake, while PDV continues to produce its range of premium thin print and specialty papers.”
Stéphane Barbereau, general director of PDL, commented: “this expansion is a testament to our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers while maintaining our dedication to sustainability and quality. By doubling the capacity of Primabake, the Papeteries des Vosges et du Leman group is positioning itself to better serve the growing market and ensure a reliable supply of our premium baking paper.”
