SCGP’s announcement of the acquisition of a 90% stake in Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial in Thailand.

Rengo Co., Ltd. is expanding its corrugated packaging network in Thailand through the acquisition of a 90% stake in Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial Co., Ltd. by Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. (TCG), its local joint venture.
Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial operates a corrugated packaging plant in Chonburi Province, an industrial area in eastern Thailand. Once the transaction is completed, the Rengo Group’s network in the country will increase from 15 to 16 corrugated packaging plants.
An additional 28,000 tonnes of capacity
According to information released by SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), which owns 70% of TCG alongside Rengo’s 30% interest, the investment amounts to THB 68 million. Jin Zhong Fa recorded revenue of THB 205 million and total assets of THB 240 million in 2025, with annual production capacity of 28,000 tonnes.
The acquired company mainly serves customers connected with the fruit export market to China. Its location in Chonburi places the plant close to customers in eastern Thailand, a region where packaging demand is supported by continued industrial investment.
SCGP said that the transaction is expected to improve cost and logistics efficiency, generate cross-selling opportunities and free capacity at other plants within the group. Jin Zhong Fa also has available land that may support future expansion. Its financial results are due to be consolidated into SCGP’s accounts from October 2026.
Rengo strengthens its Southeast Asian strategy
Before the acquisition, TCG operated 15 corrugated packaging plants, three flexible packaging plants and one heavy-duty packaging plant in Thailand. TCG manufactures and sells corrugated packaging, folding cartons and flexible packaging.
Rengo considers corrugated packaging in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, a strategic priority within its overseas General Packaging Industry operations. The latest transaction strengthens its production footprint and customer base in one of the region’s principal manufacturing markets.
