Essity earns CDP Supplier Engagement A List recognition for seventh year in a row

Essity has once again been recognised for its sustainability leadership by the global environmental organisation CDP, securing a place on the CDP Supplier Engagement A List for the seventh consecutive year. The recognition follows Essity’s achievement of an A score in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment, which evaluates how effectively companies engage suppliers on climate-related issues and emissions reduction initiatives throughout their value chains.
According to Essity, supplier collaboration remains a central element of its sustainability strategy and climate action programme. The company works closely with suppliers to improve transparency, support emissions reduction efforts and strengthen responsible sourcing practices. Supplier engagement also plays an important role in helping Essity achieve its science-based climate targets, particularly through efforts to address Scope 3 emissions generated across the value chain.
“Engaging suppliers is fundamental to delivering meaningful climate action. By working in close partnership with our suppliers, we can drive transparency, accelerate emissions reductions and ensure responsible sourcing across our value chain. This recognition by CDP confirms the importance of collaboration in achieving long-term sustainability goals,” said Jessica Nordlinder, Vice President Global Procurement at Essity.
The CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment measures corporate performance across several areas, including climate governance, emissions reduction targets, Scope 3 emissions management and supplier engagement practices.
Companies receiving the highest rating are included on CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement A List, which highlights organisations demonstrating strong leadership in managing climate-related impacts throughout their supply chains. Essity stated that continued cooperation with suppliers remains essential to advancing its sustainability objectives and supporting long-term environmental improvements across its global operations.
