delfort receives EcoVadis Platinum rating for the fifth consecutive year

delfort, a global developer and manufacturer of specialty papers, has once again been awarded Platinum status by the rating platform EcoVadis, marking the fifth consecutive year it has achieved this distinction. The recognition is reserved for only 1% of all companies currently assessed worldwide. With a score of 89 out of 100, delfort further reinforced its commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.

“Five consecutive Platinum ratings are by no means a given,” said Hannes Kinast, COO of delfort. Remaining among the leading companies over time requires continuous progress and measurable improvements. In this context, delfort not only retained its Platinum status, but also increased its score to 89 points.

The company performed strongly across all four EcoVadis assessment categories: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement, and Ethics. The most significant progress was achieved in the Ethics category, supported by improved measures in IT security, strengthened anti-corruption policies, and extensive training initiatives. “The EcoVadis Platinum rating reflects the shared commitment of our employees and the trust of our customers, with whom we are working together toward a more sustainable future,” Kinast added.

A key pillar of delfort’s sustainability strategy is its net-zero roadmap. This roadmap defines validated science-based climate targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard and outlines concrete steps to reduce emissions across the company. Building on this framework, delfort has recently brought the world’s largest heat pump into operation, making it possible to run one of its mills entirely without fossil fuels.

“This represents a major milestone for us, alongside continuous efficiency improvements achieved through the use of modern technologies and investments in further electrification and sustainable in-house energy generation. Receiving the EcoVadis Platinum medal again confirms that we are among the global leaders in the management and performance of sustainability issues, and it further underlines our path toward net-zero emissions,” said Kinast.
